Frozen Black Grouper Fillets 8x150 grams portions
Black Grouper fillets have a light, flaky flesh and make for great eating. We have left the skin on which crisps up nicely in a pan or on the grill. Defrost the fillets in your refrigerator overnight and grill, bake or steam. Black grouper can be substituted for the much more expensive ‘red grouper’ in this simple to follow steamed fish recipe https://www.argylebutchers.com/news/2020/steamed-ginger-and-soy-coral-trout
Grilled Black Grouper Recipe
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Few sprigs thyme or oregano
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 4 black grouper fillets, skin on (about 6 ounces each)
- Coarse salt
- Fresh chives, cut into 3/4-inch lengths, for garnish (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for garnish (optional)
- squeezed lemon juice
Combine oil, lemon juice, thyme or oregano, garlic, and pepper in a large shallow bowl. Add fish to marinade, and turn to coat; cover with plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator 30 minutes.
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove fish from marinade, letting excess drip off. Place on grill, skin side down, and season with salt. Grill until skin is lightly browned and starting to crisp. Carefully turn fillets, and cook until well browned and cooked through (center will be opaque), 5 to 6 minutes. Garnish with chives and lemon wedges, if desired. Serve hot or at room temperature.

“I am really impressed with the Argyle Wagyu Ribeye. The flavor and texture of the beef is top notch. For 2kg of beef I paid what if usually pay for 2 quality steaks at a high end supermarket. The value is second to none in Hong Kong! Couldn’t recommend this product enough.
Great value for melt in your mouth flavourful Aussie wagyu beef. Medium rare, very light pepper corn and brandy sauce, kids and the missus loved it! For the price I was very pleasantly surprised, will order again.
Had my first rib eye from you today- it was bloody brilliant and knocked socks off anything else I’ve had here (Jason’s/great/ bones blades) . I think 2 kg of meat can look daunting to some on line but if you think half set aside for a Sunday roast and vac the rest into steaks it’s much easier to consider . Thanks again superb quality G”
